
A new season trumpets the arrival of delicious new produce, and our team in the kitchen have created some delicious new dishes for Spring making the most of fresh asparagus, tender and sweet spring onions, Jersey Royals, sea bass and mackerel. Some of our favourite new dishes include asparagus spears with a poached egg, crispy Parma ham and Parmesan; flatbread pizzas with spicy minced lamb or flame-roasted peppers; Potted Devon crab with samphire; corn-fed chicken, spring herbs & greens and Jersey Royals; and a slow-roast lamb salad with mint vinaigrette. There’s also our selection of Stourhead steaks, which are all hung for 28 days, giving a delicious flavour – we’re constantly being told that our steaks are the best this side of the Atlantic. Other new arrivals on the menu include a pink Champagne granita with strawberry and mint salad, and a very naughty treacle tart served with a generous dollop of Dorset clotted cream. When the sun’s shining – and it was glorious this weekend – head out into enormous beer garden for a jug of Pimm’s and a game of pétanque.
