Don’t you love it when celebrities give good soundbite? We do. Especially when the celebrities in question are the lovely and gorgeous band The Feeling, who are recording their third album in nearby Bradley House (Dan and Richard are pictured above in the stunning country house). Henry, our Great Dane, has certainly found new friends, and we love having the guys around – it brings a bit of Hoxton rock’n'roll glamour to this sleepy Wiltshire village (although there are no rock star shenanigans and they’re always very friendly and beautifully behaved!!). Dan, the lead singer, has just posted an interview to their website, where he’s asked about The Somerset Arms:
Is the pub nearby still doing its Wacky Wednesday cheap beer and steak night [that'll be the previous landlords, not us]?
No, I’m afraid not. They’ve made the pub all modern. It’s nice though, the people who run it are very nice and they’ve got a Great Dane called Henry. But it’s too chic for Wacky Wednesday now. It’s like the Soho house of Wiltshire. Although they do have Poker Monday [actually, it's Poker Sunday, FYI].
The Soho House of Wiltshire? Yup, we’ll take it! And with the lovely ladies from the gorgeous Mr & Mrs Smith hotel guides staying last night, too, we’re feeling very pleased with ourselves indeed!
